Area Gold Mines - Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Union Counties of North Carolina
These are the 205 Gold Mines that I have been able to locate in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Union Counties of North Carolina.
I have visited many others and have been told of still additional mines, but for these mines I have located some type of documents to indicate their location. There are a few where the mines location is documented but the name is questionable, these are listed as unknown at their listed locations.
Others were known as several different names as the mine changed hands.
There are many small pieces of information in deeds and family records that will eventually lead to additional documentation, if you have any of this information please contact me, I am constantly in searce of new and additional documentation.
